He started in the art world, essentially self-taught, earning a place as the acknowledged class artist in high school. Later he studied at the Boston Museum School, eventually setting out on a solo journey that took him across Europe, the Baltics, and Asia. He spent months in India.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eReturning to the United States (he crisscrossed the country, continuing to Mexico), sketching and painting all along the way; he eventually settled in Heber City, Utah, for many years.
