Julie Weiss received her bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing from San Jose State University and moved to Spain the following year to teach English abroad. She found her way back to poetry in 2018 after slipping into a seventeen-year creative void. She was a finalist in Alexandria Quarterly’s First Line Poetry Series and a finalist for The Magnolia Review’s Ink Award. A Best of the Net Nominee, she has had her work appear widely online and in print. Originally from Foster City, California, she lives in a former Spanish ghost town with her wife and two young children.
