She survived and moved to Boise, where she attended Boise State University and went on to pursue a life-long career in education, teaching English, serving briefly as a Poet in the Schools, and eventually working as a media specialist. Her second, \u003cem\u003eIf Seasons Were Kingdoms\u003c\/em\u003e (Fernwood, 2024), shares the richness of the outdoor world in Idaho and beyond. The poems feature deer, pheasants, salmon, shore birds, bears, and wildflowers, but there is a human presence as well, an observer who loves the natural world and is transformed by her encounters with it.
