John Muro is a resident of Connecticut and a lover of all things chocolate. He is a graduate of Trinity College, Wesleyan University, and the University of Connecticut. His professional career has been dedicated to conservation and environmental stewardship, and he has held several executive and volunteer positions in those fields. John considers himself fortunate to have worked at the Bushnell Memorial, the Hartford Stage Company, and the Wadsworth Atheneum (all in Hartford) early in his career, and his passion for art, music, and poetry remains to this day.
John has authored two other books of poems—In the Lilac Hour and Pastoral Suite—in 2020 and 2022, respectively. Both volumes were published by Antrim House and are available on Amazon. Since the publication of his first book in the fall of 2020, John has received several poetry awards, including a Grantchester Award in 2023. He has been thrice nominated for a Pushcart Prize, twice nominated for the Best of the Net Award, and his work has appeared in numerous national and international journals and anthologies.
John and his wife, Debra Ann, live on the Connecticut shoreline. They have four children and eleven grandchildren—to whom this book is dedicated.
