Sharon Perkins Ackerman is an Appalachian poet living near the Blue Ridge of central Virginia.
Her poems have appeared in The Southern Humanities Review, Atlanta Review, Appalachian Places, Valparaiso Poetry Review, Roanoke Review, Meridian, Still: The Journal, Salvation South, Blue Mountain Review, and various other places.
She is the winner of the Hippocrates Prize for Poetry, London, 2019. She has one poetry collection, Revised Light (Main Street Rag, 2021) and works as poetry editor for Streetlight Magazine.
