Catherine Chandler is an American poet, teacher, and translator. Born in New York City and raised in Pennsylvania, she completed her graduate studies at McGill University in Montreal where she lectured in the Department of Languages and Translation for many years. Her poems, interviews, essays, and English translations from French and Spanish have been published in numerous print and online journals and anthologies in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

Recipient of the 2010 Howard Nemerov Sonnet Award and twice finalist in the competition, as well as a five-time Pushcart Prize nominee and Best of the Net finalist, Catherine is co-editor of Passages (The Greenwood Centre for Living History, 2010) and is the author of two chapbooks, For No Good Reason (2008) and All or Nothing (2010). Her first full-length poetry collection, Lines of Flight, has recently been published by Able Muse Press. Catherine currently lives in Saint-Lazare, Quebec.
