Eileen Coughlin’s first published poem, “Unfinished,” was printed in 1991 by South Ash Press. The title would later launch her return to poetry. A former vice president in higher education, she retired in order to come face to face with the unfinished business of writing. She completed an MFA degree in Creative Writing at Pacific University in January of 2021, launching her as either an old face with new lines, or a new face among old lines. Her more recent poems have been published in Literary Mama, Door is a Jar, Awakenings Review, Better Than Starbucks, and the Village Books anthology. She resides in Bellingham, Washington.
