John Raffetto’s poetry is published in print and online and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. John holds degrees from the University of Illinois and Northeastern Illinois University. He worked as a horticulturalist and landscape designer for many years at the Chicago Park District. Its conservatories and parks were an inspirational environment for poems concerning nature, people, and the city. He’s also worked as an adjunct professor, and taught classes at museums, libraries, and botanic gardens. A lifelong resident of Chicago, he lives with his wife, and they have an adult son.
