After teaching literature and creative writing for many years at Phillips Exeter Academy, she earned a doctorate in leadership and ran a US-based leadership development consulting firm. During this period, Merryn’s writing on her field work in leadership was published in peer-reviewed journals, as book chapters, and as books.
