John David Muth was born and raised in central New Jersey. He has worked in the field of higher education for over twenty-five years. Writing, reading, hiking, and taking road trips are his favorite distractions.
Muth is a member of the Delaware Valley Poets/U.S. 1 Poet’s Cooperative. His work has appeared in such journals as Misfit Magazine, Verse-Virtual, and U.S. 1 Worksheets. He is the author of seven collections of poetry: A Love for Lavender Dragons (Kelsay Books, 2016), Inevitable Carbon (Kelsay Books, 2017), Odysseus in Absaroka (Kelsay Books, 2018), Reassure the Phoenix (Kelsay Books, 2019), Dreams of a Viking Wedding (Kelsay Books, 2020), Misanthropes Rarely Procreate (Kelsay Books, 2021), and Songs of Arthritis (Kelsay Books, 2022).
