Sensitive Content Guidelines

Kelsay Books does not publish violent or pornographic content. Like Amazon KDP, we recognize the distinction between recovery-oriented nonfiction and fictional/erotic depictions.

We do accept content that pertains to abuse, including sexual abuse, for the purposes of healing, therapy, and survivor empowerment. Permitted content depicts the abuse as wrong, with a focus on personal recovery. Any content that glorifies or promotes abuse should not be sent to Kelsay Books. Any content with excessively offensive or graphic language is also not suitable for us.

If your submission contains poems with prominent sensitive themes, you are encouraged but not required to list those titles in your submissions email. Please respect our time by refraining from asking us to evaluate your sensitive content before you have sent a submission. Most likely, if the spirit of your work is not pornographic, it will not be an issue for us.
