Michelle Koubek earned her bachelor’s degree in English Studies from The College of New Jersey in 2013. Her master’s degree came several years later in special education from Grand Canyon University. She worked as an elementary teacher for several years in Hanahan, South Carolina before taking a leap and quitting to pursue her passion of writing. To this day, she believes educators deserve the utmost respect and appreciation. Some of the best women she knows have been teachers.
Her poetry and short stories have been published in over 25 publications including Allegory, Ink Nest Poetry, and Strange Horizons. She was diagnosed with autism as an adult and believes in increasing awareness among other females who may be undiagnosed. She is also a passionate visual artist and cannot get enough of board games and pizza. She lives in Florida now, filling her days with her passions and daydreaming about what tomorrow will bring.
