Ruth Holzer is the author of the chapbooks The First Hundred Years, The Solitude of Cities and A Woman Passing, and a haiku collection, Silk Flower. Her poems have appeared in journals such as Blue Unicorn, Connecticut River Review, Plainsongs, Poet Lore, Slant and Southern Poetry Review. A seven-time Pushcart nominee, among her awards, are the Edgar Allan Poe Memorial Prize from the Poetry Society of Virginia and the Tanka Splendor Award.
