Linda Hughes has a BA in advertising and journalism. Her years working as a licensed massage therapist helped her develop her natural tendencies of empathy and intuition, which often are revealed in her writing.
Her poetry has been published in many literary magazines, including: The Orchards Poetry Journal, Plainsongs Literary Magazine, Humana Obscura, Evening Street Review, Halcyon Days, California Quarterly, Avalon Literary Review, Main Street Rag, Poetry South, American Journal of Nursing’s Art of Nursing, Door Is a Jar, and others.
She has worked at a Pulitzer Prize-winning news publication in Florida. Her roots are in Oklahoma. Now she makes her home in Florida where she enjoys being surprised by animals that wander out from the jungle and pass through her yard.
