Patsy Asuncion’s collections, Cut on the Bias (Laughing Fire Press, 2015) and Lineage of Weeds (National Media Services Inc. 2023), and her feature in the anthology The Best 64 Poets of 2019, depict her world slant as a biracial, first-generation immigrant. She wants to thank her friends and colleagues for their generous support, encouragement, and inspiration.

Patsy promotes diversity in her written and community work. Her publication credits include The New York Times, About Place Journal, Cutthroat, Artemis, Prevention, Indiana University, Fredericksburg Literary, New Verse News, Vox Poetica, and 20+ anthologies. She’s given presentations at Indiana Writers, Centennial VA Writers, State Poetry Societies, Miami Actor’s Theater, DC Split This Rock, and Oklahoma’s Woody Guthrie Festival. Her other activities include her open mic (25,200+ YouTube views); community programs with Nasty Women Poets and Social Justice Poets; and involvement in arts boards, adult poetry judging, and collaborative artists-in-residency judging.
