Iris Teague is a student at Colorado College (class of ’28), studying Organismal Biology and Ecology, with a minor in Creative Writing. She wants to be a marine biologist or conservationist post-grad. She was born in Denver, Colorado and has lived all over the country before her family settled down in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2016. She was a 2023 Santa Fe Youth Poet Laureate Finalist, but this is her first independent publication. She loves the outdoors and does just about every physical activity there is, but her favorites are skiing and road biking. While not at school, she lives with her parents, older brother, and twenty-something pets, including dogs, cats, ducks, rabbits, and chickens.
