Catherine Cobb Morocco is the author of Dakota Fruit (Turning Points, 2019); Prairie Canto (Dancing Girl Press, 2016), a chapbook; and Moon without Craters or Shadows (Kelsay Books, 2014). “Son’s Story” from Moon without Craters or Shadows won the Dana Foundation prize for poetry about the brain.
Her poems appear in The Massachusetts Review, Salamander, Prairie Schooner, Hamilton Stone Review, Lily Poetry Review, Poet’s Billow, and other publications. All Fall Down was a finalist for the 2025 Tenth Gate Prize.
Catherine first authored two books for educators on teaching for deep understanding, Visionary Middle Schools (2006) and Supported Literacy for Adolescents (2008). She has taught at Clark University and Harvard Graduate School of Education. As an Associate Director at Education Development Center in Newton, she studied and wrote about inclusive schools. Catherine lives in Newton MA.
