After graduating from Skidmore College as a Studio Art major, Barbara Lydecker Crane worked as a graphic designer and then a professional quilt artist. Her landscape quilts hang on corporate, hospital, museum, and private collection walls. About twenty years ago, she turned to writing poetry. In 2007 she joined the Powow River Poets in Newburyport, MA, and to date she has published upwards of 300 poems in journals and anthologies. In addition to poetry and art, Barb loves to travel. She lives near Boston with her husband; they have two daughters, two sons-in-law, four grandchildren, and—for good measure—two granddogs.
