Cynthia Pitman is a retired high school English teacher from Orlando, Florida. She is married to Tom Pitman, an artist, and has two children, Rebecca and Eric. Her poetry has been published in the Vita Brevis anthologies Pain and Renewal, Brought to Sight & Swept Away, Nothing Divine Dies, What is All This Sweet Work? and in literary journals Amethyst Review, Ekphrastic Journal, Third Wednesday (One Sentence Poem finalist), Saw Palm: Literature and Art (Pushcart Prize nominee) and others, including two books: The White Room and Blood Orange.
