Karen Pierce Gonzalez’s chapbooks include True North (Origami Poems Project) and Down River with Li Po (Black Cat Poetry Press). She is a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominee whose writing has appeared in numerous publications including BluePepper, FERAL, Oven Bird Poetry, Pandemic Puzzle Poems, Postcard Poems and Prose, Riverbed Review, Timeworn Literary Journal, Tiny Thimble Magazine, Visual Verse, and more. Several of her plays have appeared on Marin Fringe Festival stages.
A former journalist and folklore columnist, she lives in the San Francisco Bay Area where she facilitates creative writing workshops and follows the grain of tree bark, the wave of textiles, and the waters of color to make mixed-media assemblage art displayed locally and in print.
