Kristin Roedell graduated from Whitman College (B.A. English 1984) and the University of Washington Law School (J.D. 1987). She practiced family, criminal, and personal injury law in the Pacific Northwest, retiring in 2000. Her poetry has been published in over fifty journals and anthologies since 2009, including Ginosko Literary Journal, Switched on Gutenberg, Crab Creek Review, and The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). She is the author of Girls with Gardenias (Flutter Press, 2012). She has served as an editor, written reviews, and works as a poetry mentor for Voice Catcher Journal. She has been nominated for Best of the Web and the Pushcart Prize. She was the 2013 winner of NISA’s 11th Annual Brainstorm Poetry Contest, and a finalist in the 2013 Crab Creek Review Poetry Contest. Her full length collection was a finalist in the Quercus Review Press Poetry Contest.
