Becky Kennedy is a linguist and a professor. She lives with her family in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. She earned her A.B. in English at Radcliffe College and her Ph.D. in linguistics at Harvard University; her publications in theoretical and applied linguistics include articles and a book. Her poetry has appeared in magazines and journals and in two chapbooks; her work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and has appeared on Verse Daily.
