Dora Robinson, along with her two older brothers Chuck and Harry, grew up on a horse breeding farm in Southern Wisconsin. She emerged from her mother’s womb carrying a packet of pencils in one hand and a collection of poems by Emily Dickinson in the other. Her first collection of poems, Last Exit, is inspired by her respect and admiration for the Great Plains which informs her heritage and family experiences. Dora’s poems have appeared in journals such as Coal City Review, Underwood Press, The Texas Poetry Calendar, and others. She lives in Austin Texas with her spouse, Beverly. She loves seeing the lightning shoot across the sky and Tex-Mex.
