Stephanie Sugioka is a retired English professor with master’s degrees in creative writing and Chinese literature and a Ph.D. in education. She has published a memoir entitled The Hidden Stream: A Life in Prose and Verse (Unicorn Bay Press, 2020) as well as a number of poems in literary magazines. Stephanie’s father was Japanese American and her mother Anglo-European American; the multicultural nature of her experience has deeply influenced her writing. Originally from Chapel Hill, NC, she now lives in Newport News, VA.
