Hazel Kitts lives in Appomattox, VA with her husband, Gary. Together, she and Gary enjoy family and traveling.
As a retiree, Hazel devotes free time to two hobbies: quilting and writing. Having made 200+ full size quilts, she is now attempting to use up numerous tubs of scraps to make give-away quilts. She thinks of these as cotton poetry.
Her literal poetry, while not quite so prolific, has been enriched through poetry-writing classes and writing coaches. She enjoys all forms of poetry with a bit of an inclination toward narrative poems.
Her subject matter is eclectic, drawing inspiration from personal experience, nature, philosophical observations and spiritual practices.
Her goal is to write poetry that readers can understand, perhaps relate to, and, most of all, enjoy.
