Linda Gamble is a retired educator, who previously published articles for educational magazines, units of study and other instructional materials, but her first love was teaching reading and writing. Every day began with a poem in her classroom. Eventually, she became a reading specialist/literacy coach and staff developer. Linda has a master’s degree in education from the College of NJ with a concentration in Language Arts and a Reading Specialist Certification from Rider University.
Since her retirement, Linda has been free to explore her own love of writing, especially poetry. She has attended workshops with Peter Murphy and enjoyed Dodge Poetry’s Spring and Fountain program for educators. Linda has been an active member of both the Internet Writing Workshop.org and a local poetry critique group. She has won prizes for her poetry at the county level. Linda has published poems in numerous print and online journals. In addition to her poetry, she also has a middle grade novel and a children’s picture book in progress. She is a member of a SCBWI writing group and has attended their workshops as well.
Linda lives with her husband in Burlington, NJ, where they enjoy hiking, days at the beach and traveling. She is the proud mother of two and grandmother of five.
