Mia Schilling Grogan is an associate professor of English at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia. She is a medievalist who works in the areas of hagiography and female mystical writing. Her poems have appeared in various publications over many years. Although a native New Yorker, she and her husband John have long lived in Philadelphia, where they raised their three children.
