Lynn Ciesielski had a fulfilling career working with children and adults with various disabilities. She taught for eighteen years in the public schools and worked another ten in the private sector. After taking an early retirement, she began to dedicate a lot of her time to reading, studying, and writing poetry and also hosted several poetry series around Western New York.
Her work has appeared in Iodine Poetry Journal, Main Street Rag, Buffalo News, and Wild Goose Poetry Review, among others. Her chapbook, I Speak in Tongues, was published by Foothills in 2012 and her full-length collection, Two Legs Toward Liverpool, was published by Main Street Rag in 2015. In addition, she has several works in each of two anthologies self-published by her critique group, LitGarden Writers. They are titled Just Twelve More Poems and Other Works, and Tilting Toward the Moon, and came out in 2019 and 2023, respectively.
