Marilyn McConnell’s poetry has appeared in a number of literary journals including Concho River Review, Pebble Lake Review, Iconoclast, Poem, and Plain Spoke.
As a visual artist as well as a writer, she has worked as a high school art and English teacher, a graphic artist, and a preschool teacher with an emphasis on art as a multi-level learning process. Much of her poetry reflects a cultural evolution with its roots in Buffalo, New York’s industrial age before her family of origin moved to the South. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
