Dorothy Baird taught in the English Department of Western Connecticut University and was Managing Editor of Heat Treating, a journal serving a facet of the steel industry. Her poetry has appeared in the chapbook Indelible Ripples (Aldrich Press, 2017), as well as in journals and anthologies. Baird is grateful for the experiences of making her home in multiple cities across the country, reflecting her ancestors’ migration recorded in Ribbon Without End. She has settled with her husband and dog Parker in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
