Kathaleen Donnelly is a 1976 graduate of St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing, which was in Greenwich Village, NYC. She has lived on Long Island all her life, retired from Stony Brook University Hospital after 40 years, having spent the last 20 as a nurse practitioner in the Cardiology Department, now per diem. Her son Keith was born in 1977 and now lives in California with his wife Annie.
The Sweetbriar Nature Camera Club, part of the Photographic Federation of Long Island, helped Donnelly learn what makes a good photograph. She edited three anthologies: Paumanok, Poems and Pictures of Long Island (2009), Paumanok, Interwoven (2013), and Paumanok, Transition (2022).
