Lucia Coppola is an English Second Language teacher, who is originally from New York, and has lived in France and California. She has a BA in Medieval Studies from Swarthmore College, and a professional background in dance and body techniques. Her teaching and creative work is inspired by nature, storytelling, music and dance. She worked for many years promoting the arts in public schools in France and, over time, has created artistic projects with hundreds of people of all ages. Her poems have been read on the radio, published online, in print, and as the soundtrack for a short film. Her first book, Talking with Trees, was published by Plants & Poetry in 2022. TEMPO, published by Kelsay Books, is her second collection.
