Kay Bosgraaf was raised in Hudsonville, Michigan, and now lives in Durham, North Carolina. She has B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees. Her publications include two books entitled Song of Serenity: Poems and The Fence Lesson: Poems as well as a chapbook entitled Blue Eyes and Homburg Hats: Poems. Individual poems have appeared in numerous journals and literary magazines. She was recently the recipient of a MacDowell Colony residency and has had two residencies at Vermont Studio Center. Her teaching has included some years at Michigan State University, seven years at Lincoln Memorial University in Appalachia, and, her longest tenure, at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland. After a lifetime of full-time teaching of creative writing, rhetoric and composition, and literature, she now writes and teaches creative writing as an adjunct professor at regional colleges and universities.
