Shoshauna Shy is the author of four poetry collections: Souped-Up on the Must-Drive Syndrome (Pudding House Publications), Slide into Light (Moon Journal Press), White Horses On Sale for a Song (Parallel Press), and What the Postcard Didn’t Say (Zelda Wilde Publishing) which won an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Wisconsin Library Association. Her poems have been anthologized by Random House, Midmarch Arts Press, Grayson Books, Ragged Sky, Paper Kite Press, SourceBooks, and Dos Gatos Press, among others. Over 200 literary journals and magazines have published her work.

Shoshauna works for the Wisconsin Humanities Council in Madison, Wisconsin and helped create, coordinate, and facilitate poetry programs for the annual Wisconsin Book Festival in downtown Madison for a decade. She founded the Poetry Jumps Off the Shelf program and the Woodrow Hall Jumpstart Awards which can be found at PoetryJumpsOfftheShelf.com. Shoshauna is also a flash fiction author—but that’s another story!
