Arvilla Fee lives in Dayton, Ohio with her husband, three of her six children, and her two dogs, Max & Scooter. She teaches English for Clark State College and is the lead poetry editor for October Hill Magazine.
She has published poetry, photography, and short stories in over 100 publications, including North of Oxford, Cholla Needles, Mudlark, Tipton Poety Journal, Rye Whiskey Review, and The Orchards Poetry Journal. Her poetry books, The Human Side, This is Life, and Mosaic: A Million Little Pieces, are available through Wipf and Stock and Amazon.
Arvilla loves writing, photography, and traveling and never leaves home without a snack and water (just in case of an apocalypse). She writes to make sense of the world around her and often uses writing in a therapeutic way to express trauma, grief, and pain. Her goal is to make poetry accessible to everyone and to give people a voice when they cannot find the words they wish to say. Arvilla hopes that through her writing readers of all ages and walks of life are able to find connections, see parts of themselves in the pages of her books, and know they are not alone.
