Anne-Marie Brumm has written two other books of poetry and three novels as well as numerous essays about literature and film. She graduated from Columbia University and received a PhD in comparative literature from the University of Michigan. Her experience teaching literature and creative writing was at Kean University in New Jersey, Ben Gurion University in Israel and Albert Ludwigs University in Germany. In 2019, she won the Carolyn Forche Award for humanitarian poetry and in 2020 and again in 2021, she won an editor’s choice award in the Allen Ginsberg contest and also in 2021, her novel, Devil in the Ivory Tower, was a semi-finalist in the Elixir Press prose contest. She lives in New York City.
