Jane Ebihara was born and raised in Illinois before moving to New Jersey in 1977 where she taught middle school literature for 26 years before retirement. She has been a recipient of a Geraldine Dodge Fellowship to The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA and a volunteer author for Senior Life Stories Project sponsored by New Jersey NORWESCAP. Currently, she is an active participant in two poetry workshops and, along with poet Elaine Koplow, hosts two quarterly poetry venues in rural Warren and Sussex County, NJ. Additionally, she serves as an Associate Editor of The Stillwater Review.
Jane’s previous books are A Little Piece of Mourning (Finishing Line Press, 2014), A Reminder of Hunger and Wings (Finishing Line Press, 2019), and This Edge of Rain (Kelsay Books, 2021). Her poems have been published in multiple poetry journals and anthologies and are often inspired by the beautiful countryside of rural northwest New Jersey, where she lives.
