Michael Harty lives and works near Kansas City, where he has had a long career as a psychologist and psychoanalyst and a somewhat shorter career as a poet. His Texas upbringing often shows up in his poems, which have appeared in New Letters, The Lyric, I-70 Review, Kansas City Voices, and other periodicals. His previous chapbooks are entitled The Statue Game and Real Country.
