Lin Nelson Benedek earned her MFA in Writing at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. She has had poems published in three anthologies and in numerous journals. Her first full-length poetry collection, I Was Going to Be a Cowgirl, was published by Kelsay Books in 2017. A third-generation Californian, Lin lives with her husband, Tom, a mile from the Pacific Ocean in Marina del Rey. Their son, Nicky, lives in Highland Park, near Pasadena. A longtime psychotherapist, Lin is passionate about the importance of human connection and believes in the power of poetry to heal, connect and enchant us. She is currently working on a memoir manuscript called Love-Starved Girl.
