Judith Prest is a poet, photographer, mixed media artist, and creativity coach. She has two publications by Finishing Line Press: After (May 2019) and Geography of Loss (July 2021). She also has three self-published poetry collections in print. Her poems have been published in Misfits, Rockvale Review, Mad Poet’s Review, Chronogram, Akros Review, The Muse ~An International Journal of Poetry, Earth’s Daughters, Up The River, Fredericksburg Literature and Art Review, Upstream, Waxing and Waning, and in ten anthologies. She is a longtime member of The International Women’s Writing Guild, Hudson Valley Writing Guild, Foothills Arts Council and is a poetry partner with Institute for Poetic Medicine.
Judith grew up in Bear, Delaware, and has lived in Jackson, Wyoming; Olympia, Washington; and since the late 1970s, in upstate New York. She is a graduate of The Evergreen State College and SUNY at Albany School of Social Welfare (MSW). She also holds certificates in Expressive Art Therapy and Creativity Coaching from New York Expressive Arts Studio.
A retired school social worker, Judith gives writing and expressive arts workshops in schools, prisons, libraries, retreat centers, retirement communities and addiction treatment programs.
Judith lives in Duanesburg, New York with her husband, Alan Krieger, and three cats.
