Bruce W. Niedt is a retired “beneficent bureaucrat” who began writing poetry again in 1999 after a long hiatus. Since then he has had over two hundred poems published in dozens of online and print journals, including Rattle, Writers Digest, Mason Street Review, Boston Literary Magazine, Tiferet, Spitball, Chantarelles Notebook, US 1 Worksheets, The Lyric, Edison Literary Review, Star*Line, and Your Daily Poem. His work has also appeared in the anthologies Best of the Barefoot Muse, Poem Your Heart Out, and Ice Cream Poems. He has won poetry awards from ByLine Magazine, Writers Digest, and the Philadelphia Writers Conference, as well as three Pushcart Prize nominations and two Best of the Net nominations. He has had the good fortune to participate in poetry workshops led by Billy Collins, Jane Hirshfield, Marge Piercy, Molly Peacock, and a host of others. He has published seven poetry chapbooks, most recently Hits and Sacrifices (Finishing Line Press, 2016) and Aprilcalypse (Four Feathers Press, 2020). This is his first full-length poetry collection.

A graduate of Rutgers University, he is a proud father of four and grandfather of three, and lives with his loving and incredibly patient wife in Cherry Hill, NJ. An avid game show and trivia aficionado, he has appeared twice as a contestant on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, but Jeopardy! is still on his bucket list.
