Philly-born-and-bred, Mary Rohrer-Dann spent many childhood and teenage hours exploring and daydreaming in leafy Burholme Park and its wonderfully quirky museum-library. When visiting Philadelphia family and friends, she makes time to wander the park and museum again, visit the little pet cemetery, and perhaps catch a glimpse of Mary Ann Reed Ryerss’ ghost.

An earlier, verse-play adaptation of Accidents of Being was produced and staged by Tempest Productions, Inc. in Philadelphia, New York City, and State College. The author’s other works include Taking the Long Way Home (Kelsay Books, 2021) and La Scaffetta: Poems from the Foundling Drawer (Tempest Productions, 2015). She is currently finishing a collection of flash fiction. She makes her home in State College, PA, but will always be a Philly girl at heart.
