Cathy Barber’s poetry and stories have been published in a wide range of journals, including the San Francisco Bay Guardian, the Australian Medical Journal, Slant, and Kestrel. Her poems have been anthologized many times, including in Rewilding: Poems for the Environment; Fire and Rain: Ecopoetry of California; and The Cancer Poetry Project Vol 2. Her work has been nominated for a Best of the Net award. Her first chapbook (Dancing Girl Press, 2018) is titled Aardvarks, Bloodhounds, Catfish, Dingoes. She has an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and an MA in English from California State University, Hayward. She taught for many years with California Poets in the Schools, served as president of the board, and serves on the board of Literary Cleveland. She lives in Cleveland Heights, OH.
