John David Muth was born and raised in central New Jersey. In a high school course he took when he was seventeen, he realized the power of poetry, and today he writes and publishes mostly satirical commentary on American society. He has been an academic advisor at Rutgers University for the past fifteen years, and in his spare time, he volunteers for several environmental and philanthropic causes. He is a member of the U.S. 1 Poets’ Cooperative. His work has appeared in such journals as Asinine Poetry, Drown in My Own Fears, Section 8 Magazine, The Stray Branch, and U.S. 1 Worksheets.
