Judy Young is the award-winning author of twenty-nine children’s poetry, fiction, and nonfiction books, including, Promise, a novel for middle grade and young adult readers, and R is for Rhyme, A Poetry Alphabet which received a starred Kirkus review, Mom’s Choice Gold Award, Educators’ Choice Award, Missouri Writers’ Guild Best Juvenile Book Award, National Parenting Publication Association Honor Award and has been used to teach poetry writing in middle school, high school and college classrooms. Prior to writing full time, Judy was employed as a speech and language pathologist working with children and adults who suffered from traumatic brain injuries and neurological disabilities. Judy resides in the mountains in southeast Idaho with her husband, Ross, and three dogs.
