Mary Harwell Sayler started writing poems when she was nine years old, but as an adult, wrote almost everything except poetry! For many years, she wrote children's novels, word games, and stories for children, and she wrote articles about children too. She also wrote a couple dozen books for grown-ups, including two life-health encyclopedias and a school library resource on prescription pain meds.
When Mrs. Sayler began to write poems again, she wanted to learn everything she could about poetry. She read many books, practiced what she learned, and placed hundreds of poems in magazines, anthologies, and e-zines. Mrs. Sayler then wrote the Poetry Dictionary For Children and For Fun - a Kindle e-book for classrooms and kids of all ages.
