Margaret Anne Kean was born in Los Angeles and raised in Southern California. She received her BA in British/American Literature from Scripps College and, after raising her family, received her MFA in Creative Writing/Poetry from Antioch University/Los Angeles. Her work has appeared in Eunoia Review, Anti-Heroin Chic, San Antonio Review, Drizzle Review, EcoTheo Review, and Tupelo Quarterly. She is an alumna of the Napa Valley Writers’ Conference, Idyllwild Writer’s Week and is collaborating with a Portland, Oregon composer to set a tanka series.

Kean is the Assistant Dean for Development at USC Gould School of Law and lives in Pasadena, California with her husband of 40 years. They are the proud parents of two grown daughters, whose stories are theirs to share.
