Noralyn Masselink is a Professor of English at SUNY-Cortland in central New York, a Pilates and Yoga instructor at the local YWCA, and the mother of three daughters who inspire her regularly. Her poems have appeared in TWJ Magazine, S/tick, RedFez, RiverLit, The Riveter Review, and Fishfood Literary & Creative Arts Magazine. Her chapbook Song of My Breast, a collection recounting the experience of undergoing treatment for invasive breast cancer, was published in spring 2015 by The Lives You Touch Publications. A second chapbook Once Upon a Rhyme (or Not?) (also on the topic of domestic violence) was published by the same press in September 2016, and a third chapbook two-edged (s)word(s) is forthcoming. Noralyn is intrigued by the power of words (and, above all, the Word) to rein in, rain on, and reign over whatever circumstances are submitted to their discipline.
