Bernadette McBride is the author of three previous poetry collections, Whatever Measure of Light, Food, Wine, and Other Essential Considerations, and Waiting for the Light to Change. She taught creative writing and literature at Temple University for many years and is poetry editor for the Philadelphia, PA-based Schuylkill Valley Journal. A three-time Pushcart Prize nominee, Pennsylvania Poet Laureate for Bucks County, and poetry winner, second place, for the International Ray Bradbury Writing Award, her poems have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including Cider Press Review, Mezzo Cammin, Philadelphia Stories, Ragged Sky Press, The Ekphrastic Review, and The Penwood Review as well as in the UK, Canada, and on PRI’s The Writer’s Almanac.
