Kevin Heaton was born and raised in Kansas. His family moved to Oklahoma in 1968, where he met and married Charlotte, his wife of 38 years. He attended Oral Roberts University, then worked for the Oklahoma Tourism Department as a State Park Ranger. Later, he formed an independent record label and produced a number of projects, including his own album, “Tin Roof Sunday,” and the musical score for a full-length country video, “Oklahoma Faded Love,” in which he also appeared. He is an avid runner, loves to scuba, but most of all enjoys writing and being a grandfather. Kevin and Charlotte have one son, Sean, a beautiful daughter-in-law, Kathy, and two grandchildren, Gavin and Julia. He has published over 400 poems in more than 150 journals and anthologies. Family’s Family is his fifth published book of poetry.
